Careers Wales launches new section of website for level 1 learners

Two people researching options

Careers Wales has launched a new online base for people working up to a Level 1 qualification, featuring support and guidance for young people to help them plan for their future careers.

The site, called ‘My Future’, is aimed at school pupils who require support in helping them choose their next steps into the world of work or onto further education.

It also features advice on lifestyle changes such as living independently and developing teamwork and communication skills.

The site is designed to be an all-encompassing hub of easy to read careers information for the learners and their parents/carers to help them progress and take control of their future.

From starting work, going to college, staying on in school, volunteering or starting their own business, learners are encouraged to think about what step would best suit them and their needs after full-time education.

The site includes videos from Careers Wales advisers as well as the ‘Who am I?’ quiz which helps learners understand their core skills including confidence, creativity, teamwork and IT skills.
