Esports (electronic sports) are competitive video games. Esports has pro players, referees (also called admins) and agents like any sport. But there are many other opportunities for careers and volunteering too. 

Most people start out by joining an online community for a video game. From there you find out about competitions, leagues, and tournaments. Some schools also take part in esports competitions.

Through taking part in esports you gain valuable skills that can transfer into a lot of different jobs. You can add your esports or gaming skills and experience on to your CV and application forms. You can talk about the skills you've gained through esports and gaming in job interviews.
