Event registration privacy notice and using Microsoft applications
Careers Wales will be the Data Controller for the personal data we receive from you when you complete an event registration form. The data will be processed in line with the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR).

How we get the personal information and why we have it
This form collects data on event registrations. When applying to take part in an event you will be asked to provide personal data to ensure that we can contact you and keep you informed of the events you are attending. We process your data on a consent basis (you may remove your consent at any time). When completing the events form your data will be processed by Careers Wales and Microsoft. We will store your responses securely on our internal database systems. We will use this data to register your interest in attending an event.
We may share this information with third parties related to the event.
Your rights
Under the data protection legislation, You have the right to:
- Access to the Personal data that we are processing about you
- Require us to rectify inaccuracies in that data
- The right (in certain circumstances) to object to or restrict processing
- The right (in certain circumstances) for your data to be ‘erased’
- Lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) who is our independent regulator for data protection
