There are other jobs which help run a supermarket but aren't located in a store. These jobs are usually found in offices, or the supermarket's headquaters. Jobs like:

  • Big Data Expert - helps the supermarket understand the customer better. Think of how a clubcard in a store works, it tracks what a customer buys then offers them deals
  • Distribution Manager - helps make sure items like food are delivered on time
  • Software Developer - writes code to tell a computer what to do. Supermarkets use a lot of technology to help run the store, think of the self-service checkouts, scan as you shop and online shopping
