We are all good at doing different things. A skill means that you can do something well.
Knowing what skills you have will help you in the future to:
- Think what jobs might suit you - what you enjoy and are good at doing
- Apply for college - you can note your skills on your application to tell them why you would be good on that course
- Apply for a job - you can note your skills on a job application form or a CV to tell the employer why you are the right person for the job

Communication
Communication is how you are with other people. It can be how you speak and listen to people and how you behave in front of others.
Motivation
Motivation means that you are happy to do something without anybody having to tell you to do it.
Problem solving
Problem solving is finding answers to things. You need to understand what the problem is and think of what you can do to solve the problem.
Teamwork
Teamwork means that you work well with other people to do something, like working on a task.
Resilience
Resilience means that you are able to get through difficult times. It means that you can change how you act and think to help you cope when things are hard.
Perseverance
Perseverance means that you don't give up when things are hard. You carry on and do your best.
Initiative
Initiative means you do things without being told to do them. You see what needs to be done and do it before you are asked to do it.
Adaptability
Adaptability is how you can change to do different things or fit in with other people.
Creativity
Creativity is being good at coming up with new ideas or different ways to do things.
