Get ready to meet your Careers Adviser

Before you meet with your Careers Adviser you could:

  • Have a chat at home about your ideas for the future
  • Think about your options after you leave school
  • Think about yourself – what you enjoy, what you are good at and what you need help with
  • Think about why you made those choices
  • Think about what you want to find out
  • Think about what you would like to talk about with your Careers Adviser
  • Make a note of any questions you’d like to ask

You might want to talk to your Careers Adviser about:

  • Making decisions - how do you decide what's best for you?
  • Planning -  what do you need to do to get into college/work/training?
  • Your choices when you leave school – do you know what they are?
  • Support -who can help you?
