Will you tell other people what I have said?

For many young people we don’t share information unless you’re happy for us to do that. We could share information though if you might need help putting your plans in place. We would let other organisations who help young people know what plans you have and what support you may need.

Your Careers Adviser will talk to you about this when they meet with you.

We won’t tell other people your plans if you don’t want us to but your family and people who support you in school may be able to help if they know what you want to do.

Are there times when you have to tell someone what I’ve said?

Careers Advisers work with young people and should help to make sure that young people are safe. If you told us that you, or someone else, were at risk of harm, the Careers Adviser would have to share that with someone else, who may report those concerns.

Recording interviews

Sometimes Careers Advisers record interviews so that Managers or other Careers Advisers can listen to them. We would only record an interview if you said it was okay for us to do that.

We have a Privacy Policy if you want to find out more about what we do with your information.
